The cooperation of both companies yields an international supplier of integrated solutions in the field of information systems for the public transport industry.

The current sole stakeholder of Gorba AG, Daniel Fäh, will pull out of the operative business and take on a new role as President of the Supervisory Board, responsible for strategic and coordination processes. Daniel Lenz of Precimation will serve as the new chairperson of the management team and CEO of the new Gorba AG. The enterprise will continue to trade under the globally recognized name Gorba AG.

Precimation AG will join Gorba AG by bringing its expertise and customers from the public transport sector as well as its stationary passenger information systems under the umbrella of the Gorba brand name. In addition to Gorba’s current product portfolio, the well-known brand of stationary passenger information systems, iqube, will continue its production and expansion.

The new Gorba projects a turnover of 35 million CHF for the fiscal year 2009. A total of 80 employees will work to develop, produce, and market an integrated product portfolio of passenger information systems. The headquarters of the company will remain in Oberbüren, Switzerland, although certain central functions such as product development and project work will be carried out in Brügg by Biel.
